The built-environment has an important impact in the climate change accounting for almost 40% of CO2 emission and affecting natural habitats.
Architects play major roles in the transformation of the environment; from the embedded carbon footprint of construction materials to the energy consumption of a building in use, there is a lot that needs to change.
UK architects put together a manifesto called Architects Declare in which they ask all built environment professionals to join forces to tackle climate breakdown and biodiversity loss.
