Perfect balance between old and new can be found in the conversion of an ancient barn in a modern country home, located in the in Verona and designed by the Milanese Studio Wok. The new elements are delicately inserted in the original building, the shapes and volumes of this building were kept as much as possible in order to preserve the essence of the original space, like “the full-height interior void, once a functional feature of the barn, that is partially maintained in the current configuration of the living area, overlooked by the bedrooms’ suspended volumes”
